Fabulous hotel with lovely staff.Check in easy and quick.Decor in the hotel is fab and the hotel is spotless.Room was on the 6th floor and newly refurbished.The room is fantastic with great views of the Danube.Bed big and very comfortable.Shower great and the room has huge TV,tea/coffee facilities,small fridge and safe.The lighting in the room is excellent and there is a few plugs at the bed.Food in the bistro is lovely and worth a visit.Breakfast can be a very busy time if you go around 9am.The choice is excellent.To much to name but choice of cereals, yoghurt,bread,pastries,juices,cold meat,cheese and a selection of hot food sausage,egg,bacon,beans,and a choice to have a freshly made omelette.The pool is excellent and has 2 pools at different temperatures.The jacuzzi is also lovely and warm between 36-38 degrees.The hotel is close to the city and just 2km from the parliament building and the shoes of the Danube.Bus stop and metro line within 5 mins.

Inside the reception area is clean and welcoming and the staff were fantastic, all the staff we interacted with had perfect English and were extremely helpful and friendly. The rooms were with good AC, fridge in room, free safe and tea making facilities which all added to our comfort. Beds were very comfortable and the room was spacious and spotlessly clean, as was the bathroom. The restaurant was very spacious, breakfast had plenty of choices, everything in both English and Hungarian so we could understand what we were eating and the food was fresh and well cooked. The swimming pool/spa was also spotlessly clean The hotel is near two convenient bus stops served by at least 3 buses. The view is amazing, the hotel being situated near the Danube River. Just across the road is a convenience store.

The spa area and the gym would certainly require updating but the hotel itself has been refurbished to a decent standard (still ongoing on certain floors resulting in some building work noise during daytime). Staff is friendly, food is good, decent breakfast options, good spa / gym opening hours, good location - and it was exceptional value for money. Negatives: for me the bed wasn't hard enough and there was too much noise during the early morning hours resulting in below average sleeping. housekeeping is a bit of a hit and miss, they may not always backfill water /coffee in the room and could be rather loud.

The location is great for us, because we came by car and there's a parking lot in front of the hotel. 12 eur is daily ticket, which you pay in the hotel. Going into the center is easy, by metro (around 6..7min walk to the station, couple of stops) Breakfast is amazing, so many choices, hot/cold dishes, sweets, fruit, pastries. We haven't used the spa. There's a nice lobby bar. Rooms are spotlessly clean, newly refurbished, with amazing Danube view from the window. Really enjoyed our stay! And sleep 👏

This is the second time we stayed in the Helia. We came back to relax in its own thermal bathes and spa. The room after renovation is stylish, with comfort king-size bed, clean nice bathroom with shower. River and town view is beautiful. Breakfast is very rich, various and tasty. Plenty of meal for everyone's choice. The spa is the main thing in this hotel. Full relaxation in the thermal bathes with different temperatures, jacuzzi and sauna heals body and soul. Very friendly staff. Everyday room cleaning.
